Salmian Agave is a cactus-like plant native to Mexico. Native farmers from Mexico harvest this “honey water” twice daily and take it to a location for filtering and processing. We break the compound down into simple sugars by applying heat not exceeding 113 degrees Fahrenheit.
⚡ LOW GLYCEMIC INDEX: Agave Nectar Syrup Dark is primarily fructose and is said to be 1.5 sweeter than sugar. Despite this, the Agave Syrup has a very low glycemic index of 17 making it a healthy alternative sweetener to sugar or honey. Because of it sweetness, you can use 30% less for an equal amount of sugar, honey or any other sweetener.
